Common Blue Butterfly

These are really small and have lots of energy to fly around, and when they settle, they perch on a flower for a few seconds and then they are off again. I spent ages watching this creature flying up and down a meadow of wild flowers waiting for it to suckle on some pollen.

Eventually, it rested on this buttercup and i carefully approached it taking a photograph with every inch i got closer before it flew off again.

These are so beautiful to see and watch. By far, my favourite butterfly to date.
