A New Dawn for an Old Boat
This image was taken at sunrise in the estuary at low tide in Heswall, on the Wirral, England, UK.
I arrived about 30 minutes before sunrise and battled with the gloopy mud searching for the perfect view for my shot. The bright yellow lichen on this rickety old boat immediately caught my eye.
This bright red sunrise only lasted about 5 minutes at the most and disappeared into a light pink. I love the way the rope of the boat matches the colour of the sky.
